When I try to access our external IP, I get directed to the sonicwall login page, not the web server. I initially attempted to set the NAT policies and firewall rules manually, but eventually gave in and ran the wizard after experiencing the same problem. I can't seem to get this right- after running the port forward wizard to forward WAN traffic on port 80 and 443 to our web server, all I can get to externally is the Sonicwall login page. Was this issue ever resolved? If so, what was the resolution? I too have been having the same issue. If you have more than one WAN IP address you would create address objects for each of those addresses not specifically the SonicWall WAN IP address and substitute those in the SonicWall WAN IP Address locations.
